Who is DevNova and who is behind the studio?

DevNova is a Bratislava-based web studio — working studio at Račianska 64C (Nové Mesto), registered seat at Latorická 5132/35 (Podunajské Biskupice). Officially registered in Slovakia under IČO 54730775. The studio was founded in October 2025 by Tair Khamitov, who leads projects as lead developer — and we bring in vetted freelancers we have worked with for a long time, sized to the scope and complexity of each build. We deliver on an 11-day cycle that is broken down day by day at /process, publish prices openly from €349, and hand-build every site in Next.js — no WordPress, no page builders. Our own measurements of the Slovak web are published, raw data included, as the DevNova Index. We work with small and mid-market business owners across Central Europe (SK, CZ, AT, PL, HU) and Russian-speaking entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan.

Where are you based and do we meet in person?

For Bratislava clients we meet in person at kick-off and sign-off — either at our Račianska studio or at yours. For clients outside Bratislava, we run video calls + a Notion brief and offer one in-person meeting during the project if needed (travel included on Marketing and E-shop across Slovakia).

Which languages do you work in?

Accepted Answer

Slovak, English, Russian. Briefs, contracts, invoices, and documentation in any of the three. For Austrian and German clients the working language is English; for Czech clients either Slovak or English, your choice.

Do you only work with small businesses or also enterprise?

Accepted Answer

Both. Our client portfolio ranges from single-person businesses to mid-market B2B distributors. For larger projects (50+ pages, multilingual portals, ERP/CRM/invoicing integrations) we use the E-shop tier and can assemble an extended team of external specialists — DevOps, motion designer, copywriter — under a single contract.

Who writes the Journal articles?

Accepted Answer

Every article is written personally by Tair Khamitov — that's why each one carries his byline and photo. The Journal is not generic AI copy-paste. Every article includes at least one specific example from our active portfolio (anonymized if the client hasn't given permission to name them).

How much does a website cost at DevNova in 2026?

Accepted Answer

Pricing is public at /cennik. Three web tiers (Landing €349 · Marketing €799 · E-shop €1,399) × three payment models. ONE-TIME = one-off code buyout. CO-PILOT = 50% upfront (from €175) + a tier-dependent monthly care plan (€19 / €29 / €49 monthly, or €9 / €15 / €19 on annual billing). IGNITION = €0 to start, a code lease (from €29 / €67 / €117 per month) with a 12-month minimum term. The code stays ours for as long as the lease runs, and a buyout is by agreement only. No hidden fees. A concrete number for your project lands in your inbox within 24 hours of filling out /brief.

What's a care plan and what does it cover?

The care plan is a monthly maintenance package. Price depends on the website tier and billing frequency: Landing €19/mo (or €9/mo on annual billing), Marketing €29/mo (€15/mo annual), E-shop €49/mo (€19/mo annual). Included: hosting on DevNova infrastructure, your domain (.eu/.sk/.com), 2-3 content updates per month, uptime monitoring + backups, SSL certificate, 48-hour response on technical tickets. SEO management and blog articles are separate perpetual add-ons (SEO-Romance €149/mo, SEO-ULTRA €299/mo). Full breakdown at /cennik. You can cancel any time — code ownership stays with you.

Question 9

Can I cancel the care plan any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The care plan runs on a monthly cancellation notice — drop us an email at b2b@devnova.eu by month-end and you stop paying from the next month. Code ownership, domain, and content stay with you. We help migrate to your own hosting (one-time €120 migration fee). That applies to ONE-TIME and CO-PILOT. The IGNITION plan (code lease) has a 12-month minimum term and the code stays in DevNova's ownership for as long as the lease runs. Clause 9 of the terms has the detail.

What payment methods do you accept and do you issue VAT invoices?

Accepted Answer

Bank transfer in EUR (preferred), Stripe for card payments. Invoices have 14-day net terms. DevNova is not a VAT-registered entity — invoices are gross (final amount = price, no VAT added or charged). For Austrian and German clients we invoice in EUR without reverse-charge VAT (DevNova as non-VAT-registered). For enterprise clients we accept longer terms (30/45/60-day net) on request.

Why three plans and which one should I pick?

Three plans = three cash-flow decisions. ONE-TIME if you have the budget and want a single transaction. CO-PILOT if you'd rather split the load (50% upfront, the rest via monthly support) and want an active partner. IGNITION if you don't have the budget but need to launch fast — you only pay monthly for the rental. /brief automatically recommends the right tier based on your answers, or pick yourself at /cennik.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The contract price is final for the agreed scope. Out-of-scope work (rewriting the hierarchy after sign-off, adding a 2nd language post-launch, a new audience segment) is billed at €60/hour with prior approval. Third-party pass-through costs — Google Workspace, Stripe's 1.4% fees, a custom .com domain at €15/year — are listed in the brief before signing. No surprise line items on the final invoice.

What's the price range for enterprise projects?

Accepted Answer

Enterprise projects (50+ pages, ERP/CRM integrations, multilingual portal, GDPR/ISO compliance audit, SLA with guaranteed uptime) start at €18,000 setup + €450/mo care plan. We provide a procurement-ready RFP PDF and NDA within 48 hours of first contact. For tender purposes we also issue a pro-forma invoice and reference letter from existing clients (with their consent).

Why do you deliver in 11 days when other agencies take 3 months?

Because 11 days is enough when scope is tight and the team is small. Our process has three phases: days 01-02 audit + hierarchy, days 03-06 design + build, days 07-11 content + launch + Google Search Console. No agency overhead (status calls, sprint reviews, account managers). Full day-by-day breakdown at /process. For larger projects (50+ pages) we run the cycle 2-3× and total time is 4-6 weeks.

What do I need to prepare before the brief?

Nothing finished. Fill out /brief (10-15 minutes) — you'll answer questions about your business type, main offer, three competitors you watch, and one thing your customer does differently. You don't need a logo, domain, or copy. We craft those together during days 01-02. If you have an existing logo or brand guidelines, send them — you'll save time on day 03.

What if I don't like the result?

We guarantee one free rewrite of the hierarchy within 14 days of launch if the main metric (% of visitors who reach the pricing page) doesn't rise at least 40%. This is contractual — not a marketing promise. Aesthetic tweaks (button color, headline font) are included in the Care plan. Structural changes (a fully different hero, adding a whole new section) are out of scope and billed at €60/h.

How does communication work during the project?

One shared Notion project, one Telegram or WhatsApp chat (your call), b2b@devnova.eu for documents. No daily status calls. Client check-ins are on days 02, 06 and 10 (kick-off, mid-review, pre-launch). Between check-ins you see progress via deploy preview links — click and you see the live state of the site in real time.

Question 18

What if the project is delayed because of me (missing photos, no reply to the brief)?

Accepted Answer

The 11-day cycle pauses the day we're waiting on your input. Once you reply we resume from where we stopped — no extra fees for 1-5 days of delay. If your side delays by more than 5 days, the project shifts to the next free 11-day slot (typically 2-3 weeks later). If you're looking for an agency that ships despite your absence, that's not us.

Which technologies do you use?

Frontend: Next.js 15 (App Router, React Server Components), React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS 4, motion (ex Framer Motion), GSAP. Backend: Vercel Functions (Node 24), Resend for email, Stripe for payments. Hosting: Vercel (Bratislava region where it makes sense). No WordPress, no page builders. For ERP/CRM integration we use REST or GraphQL depending on what your system offers.

Do I own the code after the project ends?

On ONE-TIME and CO-PILOT, yes. On launch day you get access to the Git repository (GitHub or GitLab, your call) as owner. The repo contains the full source code, design tokens, content, a README with the deployment manual, and CI/CD configuration. IGNITION is a lease, not a purchase: the code stays in DevNova's ownership for as long as the lease runs and does not transfer automatically. It is built on our own template, which we reuse across clients. Where we have individually reworked a site for you to the point that it is no longer a shared template, a buyout is possible by agreement at a residual price (typically 30 to 40% of the original ONE-TIME price).

Question 21

Do you build stores on Shopify, WooCommerce or another ready-made platform?

Accepted Answer

No — the cart and the checkout are written directly in Next.js, so you pay for the site rather than a monthly fee to a platform, and the system's limits do not decide what you can sell. We wire in Slovak payments (Stripe, Pay by Square, Tatra Pay, GoPay), invoicing (Pohoda, iDoklad, SuperFaktúra) and stock. We can integrate an existing Shopify or Shoptet if you already run on one and do not want to migrate. The only ready-made thing we sell is the template sites at /sablony — and those are our own code, rented, not someone else's platform; they are a separate offer with their own price list.

Why don't you use WordPress?

WordPress answers a question from 2010. In 2026 a Next.js + Vercel site is faster (LCP under 1.5s vs 4-6s typical WP), more secure (no plugins with CVEs), cheaper to run (€20/mo hosting vs €60-150 managed WP), and more indexable in AI Overviews. For you that means fewer outages, lower hosting bill, higher Google position. WordPress only makes sense if your workflow requires unlimited editor-user provisioning — and even then we do it via a headless CMS (Sanity, Contentful) without WordPress.

Where does the site host and what about backups?

Hosting on Vercel — global CDN with 100+ edge locations, Frankfurt/Amsterdam region for EU clients (latency from Bratislava under 20ms). Backups: code in Git (every commit = a backup), content in Sanity/Contentful (versioned), database (if any) on daily snapshots with 30-day retention. RPO 24h, RTO 1h. For enterprise clients we also set up multi-region replication and a 99.95% uptime SLA.

Can I keep my own domain?

Accepted Answer

Yes, your own domain is the default. The brief asks whether you already have one. If yes — we help migrate DNS to Vercel (typically 1-2 hours of work, free on Marketing and E-shop). If not — registration is on us (.eu/.sk/.com/.cz included in the care plan). The domain is always registered to your name/company — never to DevNova. You own the domain and can move it anywhere any time.

Do you integrate with ERP, CRM, invoicing systems?

Yes. For Slovak clients we most often integrate: Pohoda, Money S3, iDoklad, SuperFaktúra (invoicing), Hubspot, Pipedrive (CRM), Shoptet, Shopify (e-shop), SAP Business One and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (enterprise ERP). For custom systems we need your API documentation. Typical scope 1-3 days of work (€480-1,440 one-time); complex scenarios — multi-system sync, real-time webhooks — are quoted individually.

How do your AI chatbots work and what does running them cost?

Accepted Answer

Two types: Scripted (classic decision tree, €79 one-time) and AI (GPT-5-class model + your business context, €129 one-time). The bot is delivered as an export — it is yours, and you pay us nothing monthly for it. It runs directly on your site as a custom widget or via WhatsApp Business API. AI inference cost stays with you and you see it transparently in the Vercel AI Gateway dashboard. For volume up to 1,000 conversations/mo, typically under €25/mo.

What does your SEO include and how long until results show?

Accepted Answer

SEO-AI (€294 one-time, technical base + AI Overview optimization — set up once, nothing to pay after). Monthly tiers: SEO-Romance (€149/mo, +content cluster, 1-2 articles per month), SEO-ULTRA (€299/mo, +link building, local citation catalogs, GMB optimization, monthly report). First organic impressions in Google Search Console typically 2-4 weeks after publishing, first click-throughs 6-12 weeks. For competitive keywords (e.g. "web development Bratislava") expect 4-8 months to reach top 10.

How does DevNova handle GDPR and personal data?

DevNova is a registered data controller based in Slovakia (Latorická 5132/35, IČO 54730775). We process only data necessary to fulfill the contract — contact info, project brief, invoice-relevant data. Sub-processors: Vercel (hosting, EU regions), Resend (transactional email, EU servers). No behavioral tracking, no profiling. Full text at /legal/privacy. For enterprise clients we sign a DPA (Data Processing Agreement) before project start.

What does the contract look like and where do we sign?

Standard work-for-hire contract under Slovak Commercial Code § 631 ff. — 4 pages, clear, no legalese. Includes: project scope, day-by-day timeline, price, payment plan, hierarchy-rewrite guarantee, code ownership clause, GDPR DPA appendix. Signed digitally via Dropbox Sign (qualified electronic signature, valid across the EU). For Slovak clients we can also use paper in two copies at Latorická 5132/35.

Will you sign an NDA before the first call?

Yes. For enterprise clients we send a standard bilateral NDA (Slovak / English) within 24 hours of first contact. If you have your own NDA we accept it too — typically without changes, unless it contains disproportionate clauses (e.g. portfolio ban without justification or jurisdiction outside SK/EU). In that case we offer edits or our template.

Do you invoice clients outside the EU (e.g. Kazakhstan, UK, USA)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We invoice in EUR or USD. For clients outside the EU we invoice without VAT (DevNova is non-VAT-registered). Payment by bank transfer or Stripe. Kazakhstan clients most often pay by EUR bank transfer via Halyk Bank or Kaspi Pay. UK / USA — Stripe or Wise. For first-time work with a previously unknown client we ask for a 30% deposit before project start.

Question 32

What if I want to cancel mid-project? Do you refund the deposit?

Accepted Answer

The deposit (typically 30% of ONE-TIME or 50% of CO-PILOT) is non-refundable because it covers the audit and hierarchy work done physically during days 01-02. If you cancel by day 02 (before design starts), the rest of the payment (70% or 50%) isn't billed. If you cancel between days 03 and 10 we bill pro-rata. After launch — no refunds. Ownership of code already delivered stays with you.

Can you cite my company as a reference / case study?

Accepted Answer

Only with your explicit consent. The contract includes a "mutual marketing" clause — you can leave it active (allows your logo and 1-2 sentences about the project on our /work) or turn it off (stay anonymous). Detailed case studies (numerical results, screenshots) are published only after a second consent via an email with a preview of the text. Logos are never used in advertising outside /work without further consent.
